Great location and one of the best breakfast experiences in Japan
It is right next to Hakata City which is the main train station in Fukuoka. Very convenient for transport, meals and shopping. The rooms are very spacious by Japanese standard with two huge twin beds. The kettle keeps the hot water hot after boiling. Great and efficient hairdryer. Instead of instant coffee, they provide better quality drip coffee in the room. It has a great Japanese restaurant on site which is always busy with local businessmen at dinner which to me is a good sign! Breakfast is also served there and it is beyond luxurious and expectation - you can choose from a range of set menus: Japanese style, Hakata style (featuring local delicacy mentaiko) breakfast or Western style or even one with Japanese beef curry rice (see photo).
No bottled water provided in the room and the toilet’s lights cut off periodically. Some of the staff’s basic English could be a little better.
